  1. (Genesis 2:24 NLT) This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Comment: This explains of God’s basic establishment of a relationship. A Husband and Wife holding on with each other, both are united into one.

  2. (Genesis 4:7 NLT) You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at your door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.

Comment: Anyone can fall into sin, but with God, our sins have been forgiven and uplifted off of our shoulders. Always look towards God and lean on him, never let sin control or block in the way.

God created MARTIN in His own image…….Genesis 1:27a

Wow. I have read this verse and heard this truth a million times before, but it was not until I put MY name in it that it took a deeper meaning. Suddenly, I saw the same verse in a completely, new, refreshing way that I can apply to my life.

God blessed MARTIN and said to MARTIN “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:28

WOW! This makes me feel powerful, anointed……indeed, able to do as Philippians 4:13 says: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”!!!!!!!!

Then the Lord God formed a MARTIN from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and MARTIN became a living being. Genesis 2:7

This brings new life to my life!

“The Lord God made garments of skin for MARTIN and clothed him.” Genesis 3:21

Incredible, this shows me how much God loves me that EVEN when I mess up, He is there for me, providing for me and still treating me with mercy.

“Then the Lord said to Martin, ‘Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? Genesis 4:6

This reminds me to FOCUS on God’s goodness and love for me instead of my sin. This reminds to change my attitude when I am angry with God for whatever the reason…….

Yahweh said to him, “Therefore whoever slays MARTIN, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” Yahweh appointed a sign for MARTIN, so that anyone finding him would not strike MARTIN. Genesis 4:15

Again, God’s protection because He loves MARTIN!!!!!

Martin walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took Martin away. Genesis 5:24

While this does not have to simply refer to being taken up to heaven physically (i.e. death), as I reach a MAJOR milestone this year age-wise, it reminds my time to be “taken away” into His arms draw near! I love that!!!!

“But Martin found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:8

DANG!!!!! NOTHING else needs be said!!! THIs blesses me BEYOND words!!!

  11. “1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

This points to the trinity . God the father, God the Holy Spirt, and God the Son (the word)
    A triune God. One person

  12. 20 The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the sky, and to every wild animal; but for the man[k] no helper was found corresponding to him.

This helper is not subordinate to him in Hebrew it is Ezer. This word always refers to a strong rescuing help. Often applied to God himself. So this is not an assistant. Corresponding to is: Kenegdô in Hebrew which means equal and adequate to himself. A source of strength on the same level.
So men and women are equal and are meant to reign together in partnership.
