What kind of church is New Perspective?
We call ourselves "New Perspective" because once a believer understands what it means that they become the "righteousness of God in Christ" according to 2 Corinthians 5:21 and has a HEART knowledge of the grace of the gospel, their entire view of the world, of themselves will change. Indeed, they gain an entire new perspective of life!

Everyone Welcome
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at New Perspective Church! NPC is about people. We are more interested in building relationships and growing spiritually than we are in practicing religion or building an institution. In our gatherings you will find a diverse group of people from many different cultures, ages and walks of life, who are unified by our faith in Jesus. As a community of Christ followers we are committed to extending love and grace to everyone, just as it has been extended to us.

ALEXANDRA TATAJE
Passionate preacher “skillfully handling the Word of truth”, Pastor Alexandra unapologetically teaches the gospel of grace and unveils Jesus as described in the gospels. Born in Calgary, Alberta to an English mother and an American father who met in Libya, she grew up in Northern California and started her calling to ministry as a senior pastor in her young 20s. Through the decades, her desire to see people come to Christ has led her to answer the call to pastor/church-plant in California, Utah, and Texas and to minister in Europe and Southeast Asia. A gifted communicator on and off stage, she is a people-person with a true shepherd’s heart that easily draws out the best in people of all ages. College-age women and men find a particular advocate in her as she loves to recognize their God-given gifts and coach them into fulfilling their calling. She remains a committed vessel of God to see people set free from condemnation and on to discovering their true identity in Christ. Although she describes herself as a “hobbit” who likes to stay home and not be late for dinner, she is actually a world traveler. Find her at church and tell her about your calling in life; she would love to hear it!
MARTIN TATAJE
Martin and Alexandra met at church in Anaheim, California during their college years. He was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and emigrated to the US at the age of 12. In 1990 he had an internship in Zurich, Switzerland; he is a life-long learner of foreign languages able to speak German, Spanish, English, and working at becoming fluent in Japanese. In addition to sharing Alexandra’s passion for preaching the gospel of grace and making disciples, he has a zeal for teaching leadership at the church. He believes the need for leadership training in the church is summed up in Luke 16:8 “So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.” Martin and Alexandra have four children.
JESSICA DUGAN
A native Texan, Jessica’s love for God shows in her tenacity of following His leading even in the midst of storms. Truly a quiet powerhouse, Jessica came as a “temporary intern” when it was just Pastors Alexandra and Martin starting the church in 2016(?). She has pioneered several ministries including: a youth group from scratch, our annual Harvest Festivals, Easter activities, hospitality, and other supporting ministries. She loves discipling people and seeing them blossom in their relationship and knowledge of God. Pastors Alexandra and Martin have had the privilege of knowing her since her teenage years and have seen her grow in her God-given talents which include public speaking and leadership. Because of her quiet demeanor, it is not unusual for her to teach deep spiritual truths that catches the audience off guard. Her love for travel has already taken her to several countries around the world, and as a lifelong learner, she loves reading good books. Find her at church and ask her about her past and future travel plans, you will love her stories!
Taylor Phan
A native Californian, Andrew Taylor has a tender heart for God, a sensitivity to the Spirit, and a passion for reaching the unchurched. His natural people skills and magnetic personality are noticeable soon after meeting him. A talented musician since childhood, he currently leads worship in addition to leading the discipling and multiplication of the church’s youth connect groups. His sensitivity to hearing from God keeps him growing in different areas including making “fishing for people” a part of his daily life as God uses him in “adding every day those who are being saved.” A natural leader, he has a gift for drawing out the God-given talents in others and for teaching deep Biblical truths in a way that anyone can understand. He enjoys cooking and Taylor-making crafts for his store. He is currently finishing his studies at Christ for the Nations Institute. Estefania A.
Imported from Venezuela, Estefania has a quiet demeanor but is quite the powerhouse. Starting in 2015 she worked for an international marketing company in her native Venezuela having served clients with video marketing and graphic design in countries all over the Americas. In 2019 she answered the call of God to study in Dallas at CFNI and has since been working in social media marketing. Estefania has revolutionized our church’s social media as she has created innovative content, including commercial-quality videos and graphics, and re-organized the entire department. If you see Estefania, ask her what innovative project she is working on!
